Art Installation in Progress - please excuse our appearance

Professor Kelly Goff and Nicholas Allario ‘29 are developing this sculpture, Continuous Line X, (silence), as part of a Faculty/Student Summer collaboration. The artwork joins Prof. Goff’s ongoing series of public Lineworks and is the first to makes use of a custom made software tool capable of generating linear geometries based on sound waves.

This sculptural form is a physical manifestation of a speech, Silence, written and delivered by Prof. Joel Relihan at Wheaton Honors Convocation in May 2026.

When complete, the sculpture will be suspended overhead in the Knapton Atrium.
