Art Installation in Progress - please excuse our appearance

Professor Kelly Goff and Nicholas Allario ‘29 are developing a new site-specific sculpture, Continuous Line X, (silence), as part of a Faculty/Student collaboration. The artwork joins Prof. Goff’s ongoing series of public Lineworks and is the first to make use of a custom software tool capable of generating linear geometries based on sound recordings.

The form under construction is a physical manifestation of a speech, Silence, written and delivered by Prof. Joel Relihan at Wheaton Honors Convocation in May 2026.

When complete, the sculpture will be suspended overhead in the Knapton Atrium.
