In 2017, I will live in the country of Bhutan for five months as the Resident Director of the Wheaton College in Bhutan undergraduate study abroad program. I visited for one week in May 2016 as orientation to a country sometimes referred to as “The Last Shangri-La.” Landlocked and neighbor to Tibet, Nepal, and India, this ancient and beautiful nation was one of the last in the world to receive television and internet (a ban was lifted in 1999). The following images represent  only a glimpse of a region with which I fell instantly in love, which I will explore in-depth soon.
